This year from 10th till 18th of May members and Friends of our organization Union of Ukrainian Students in Germany were representing Germany during taking part in Youth exchange funded by Erasmus+ program «Accept Me, Accept My Culture». Young people from Croatia, Slovenia, Malta and Germany arrived to participate in the project which took place in the nice and cozy city of Kranj. We learnt how to prepare different activities that promoted deep intercultural exchange of experience and knowledge of individuals.

Through sport games, debates, workshops on journalism, opportunities of Erasmus Educational Foundation and discussions about myths of cultures we were able to explore interesting and important facts and stereotypes about history and culture of the countries where project participants come from. International experience during intercultural evening helped to get better understanding about equality, similarity and differences of other nations and especially new generation of young people.

At the same time with Erasmus Program also started another event – Youth Week. Involving locals in participation in sport and cultural activities and especially intercultural evening was the best proof of implementation ideas of Erasmus program in the small Slovenian environment on the local level in Kranj.

Experience and knowledge we got during this Erasmus + program «Accept me, accept my culture» were very important and useful for improving youth work in our organization Union of Ukrainian Students in Germany.

Togather with the project STEP FORWARD TO INTERCULTURAL SOCIETY at Cyprus  «Accept me, accept my culture» was an important part of the report at the annual meeting of our organization.

...and more...

Our international work groups have developed 4 games. We played them with the youth of the city of Kranj. We also used them during international and ukrainian events in Munich to entertain children and now we invite you to join us!
